The recent drawing competition organised by the Debabrata Auro Foundation, in collaboration with TajSATS, at BMC Municipal Corporation School in Colaba Churchgate was a tremendous success, marking a significant achievement in our efforts to foster creativity and artistic expression among young participants. The event commenced with a brief yet impactful introduction outlining its objectives, which set the stage for a day dedicated to celebrating creativity.Children were given one hour to channel their imaginations onto paper using a selection of materials provided, including crayons and A4 sheets. This time frame allowed them to explore their artistic talents and express their unique visions. The event was meticulously organised to ensure that every child had the opportunity to showcase their creativity in a supportive environment.

Upon the completion of their drawings, the DAF team collected all the artworks for evaluation. This process not only highlighted the diverse artistic capabilities of the children but also underscored the importance of imaginative expression. Each participant was rewarded for their efforts with a special gift package, generously sponsored by TajSATS. The gift packs included drawing books, basic stationery such as pencils and erasers, and additional crayons. This thoughtful gesture ensured that every child walked away with tools to further nurture their artistic interests and skills. The event’s objectives were multifaceted, aiming to stimulate creativity and artistic expression, encourage imagination, and enhance creative thinking skills. Beyond these goals, the competition played a crucial role in promoting cognitive development, boosting self-confidence, and cultivating an appreciation for art among the young participants. In summary, the drawing competition was not just an event but a meaningful experience that enriched the lives of the children involved.
