Menstrual Health and Hygiene Awareness Session & Sanitary Napkins Distribution, 29th and 30th July 2023. ReayRoad & Jay Prakash Nagar
Debabrata Auro Foundation has organized an awareness session on Menstrual Health and Hygiene & Free Sanitary Napkins Distribution. We had raised a few questions in front of the slum women for example what is Menstruation? What all Taboos and Myth have related to Menstruation? What is their way of Sanitation? We Raised these three questions to know how much they know about MHH. We had shown them a video on what is Menstruation. Had a discussion with the women about proper sanitation. Also taught them how to dispose of used sanitary napkins. We had a discussion on the Myth and Facts related to MHH with the women present in the session. Also, we provided them with some nutritional information to take care of their health. Post the MHH awareness session, we distributed 95 free sanitary napkins to the Reay Road and Jay Prakash Slum women and also to adolescent girls present in the session. A special thanks to one of the generous donors Mr.Ravi Trivedi, who has sponsored the cost of 95 Sanitary Napkins for the event.
