DAF NGO Fungal Infection Check-Up Camp at MIDC Center for Ragpicker in Andheri, Report 18-12-23

Objective:

• DAF NGO organized the Fungal Infection Check-Up camp in association with The Esthetic Clinics.

• The Fungal Infection Check-Up Camp conducted on 18th December 2023, in MIDC center, Andheri, aimed to address the health needs of the community by providing fungal infection check-ups for ragpicker safai karmchari. 

Activities:

• Conducted comprehensive Fungal Infection check-ups for 41 safai karmchari in which  24 individuals presented symptoms of fungal infections. 
• Ensuring the availability of resources and medical expertise Dr.Avani Gulhane skin specialist dermatologist doctor, provided counseling on fungal infections, explained causes and symptoms, and offered guidance on preventive measures.
• Free medicines were provided to the 24 individuals diagnosed with fungal infections, facilitating immediate treatment.

Impact:

• The camp significantly increased awareness about fungal infections, their causes, symptoms, and preventive measures among the community members. 
• Free distribution of medicines ensured that individuals diagnosed with fungal infections received immediate treatment, promoting their health and well-being.

Conclusion:

• The Fungal Infection Check-Up Camp in MIDC center, Andheri East, was successfully executed.
• The camp not only provided immediate healthcare solutions but also raised awareness about fungal infections within the community. 
• We express our gratitude to all involved parties for their support.
