World Menstruation Day, Awareness on Menstrual Health & Hygiene 28/5/2023 at Thembipada Tribal Village

On the occasion of World Menstruation Day, Debabrata Auro Foundation has organized MHH awareness sessions and free sanitary napkins distribution at Tembhipada Tribal village. In the awareness session, we interacted with the women and girls of the underprivileged area. Through the awareness session, we spread information related to menstruation and sanitary napkin use. Later we spoke about nutrition and how to take care of health. In the session, we asked certain questions related to myths and Facts about menstruation. After the session, DAF distributed 100 Napkins to 50 women present in the awareness camp. Per beneficiaries, 2 packets of sanitary napkins were given. We asked for the feedback of women present in the session they highlighted their issues and said the first time any NGO has visited there and done awareness and spoken about menstruation with them.

The women cleared their doubts related to period issues and health. Through this event, we impacted those women’s life by spreading awareness and talking about periods giving them the right knowledge.
