Sewing Machine Donation to Mrs. Sabita Lodh 05/12/2023

Objective: 

• The primary objective of the project was to donate a sewing machine to Mrs. Sabita Lodh, a widow facing challenging circumstances after her husband’s demise. 
• This initiative aimed to provide her with a sustainable means of income through sewing work. Additionally, toys were brought by Jai Hind College to donate to Mrs. Lodh’s two young daughters. 

Project Description:

• Debabrata Auro Foundation, in collaboration with Jai Hind College Rotract Club, organized a Sewing Machine Donation Project at Kalachowki Modiseth Chal on 05/12/2023, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. 
• The focus of the project was to support Mrs. Sabita Lodh, who faced economic hardship following her husband’s demise due to alcohol-related health issues.

Beneficiary Profile:

• Mrs. Sabita Lodh is a widow with two daughters, aged 6 years and 2 year old. She is uneducated and unable to go out to work due to her family responsibilities.

Assistance Provided:

• Sewing Machine Donation: The project involved providing Mrs. Sabita Lodh with a sewing machine to enable her to undertake sewing work from home, offering her a sustainable source of income.
• Toy Donation: Jai Hind College Rotract Club also brought toys for Mrs. Lodh’s two young daughters to bring some joy and support during this challenging time. 

Background:

• Mrs. Sabita Lodh’s husband’s demise was attributed to alcohol-related health issues, leading to liver damage and jaundice.
• In her current situation, Mrs. Lodh lacked support from relatives, and with two young daughters to care for, the initiative aimed to ease her financial burden.

Execution:

• The Sewing Machine Donation Project was successfully executed through the collaborative efforts of Debabrata Auro Foundation and Jai Hind College Rotract Club. 

Impact:

• The project had a direct positive impact on Mrs. Sabita Lodh’s life by providing her with a means of earning a livelihood from home. 
• The toys donated to her daughters aimed to bring some happiness and alleviate the challenges faced by the family.
