Report on the Beach Clean-up Initiative at Dadar Beach – 15th November 2025
The Beach Clean-up Initiative conducted on 15th November 2025 at Dadar Beach was a collaborative effort between the Debabrata Mitalee Auro Foundation (DAF) and Project Mumbai to address the growing challenge of coastal pollution. Volunteers assembled early in the morning to clean approximately 500 meters of the coastline, removing accumulated waste such as plastic bags, bottles, and other non-biodegradable materials. The collected waste was systematically segregated to ensure efficient disposal and encourage recycling, reinforcing the importance of sustainable waste management practices.
In addition to the clean-up, the initiative integrated awareness activities aimed at educating participants and community members about the environmental impacts of littering and the urgency of protecting marine ecosystems. The combined efforts resulted in a visibly cleaner shoreline while promoting a deeper understanding of responsible waste disposal. This collaborative endeavour not only contributed to restoring the beauty of Dadar Beach but also inspired community-driven action for long-term environmental sustainability.
