Report on Beach Clean-up Initiative at Dadar Beach – 7th June 2025
On 7th June 2025, the Debabrata Auro Foundation, in partnership with Project Mumbai, organized a successful Beach Clean-up Initiative at Dadar Beach from 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM. This collaborative effort brought together volunteers and community members committed to protecting the coastal environment. Participants worked together to clean approximately 500 meters of the beach, collecting and segregating waste materials such as plastic bags, bottles, and other debris. The activity not only contributed to the physical cleanliness of the beach but also demonstrated the power of collective action in tackling environmental challenges.
In addition to the clean-up, the event featured awareness campaigns that educated participants about the detrimental effects of marine pollution and the importance of responsible waste management. The initiative served as a platform to promote sustainable practices and foster a deeper connection between individuals and their natural surroundings. As a result, the beach area saw a noticeable improvement in cleanliness, while the volunteers left with a renewed sense of environmental responsibility. The event underscored the value of community-led environmental stewardship and highlighted the potential for positive change through coordinated local action.
