Objective:

• The Menstrual Health & Hygiene Outreach Program conducted on November 18, 2023, aimed to address the menstrual health needs of women and girls in the Vile Parle slum community. This initiative sought to provide education, resources, and support to empower them to adopt healthier menstrual hygiene practices.

Activities:

• Educational Sessions: Conducted informative sessions on menstrual health and hygiene practices, emphasizing the importance of proper hygiene during menstruation.
• Napkin Distribution: Thanks to the generous sponsorship for 250 sanitary napkins from Vidya Lalwani Ma’am, 100 napkins were distributed among 100 women and girls in the community.
• Interactive Workshops: Facilitated interactive workshops to encourage open discussions and address any questions or concerns related to menstrual health.
• Demonstrations: Provided practical demonstrations on the correct usage and disposal of sanitary napkins.

Conclusion:

• The Menstrual Health & Hygiene Outreach Program in the Vile Parle slum community was executed successfully, thanks to the generous sponsorship from Vidya Lalwani Ma’am. The program not only provided necessary menstrual hygiene products but also empowered the community with knowledge for better health practices.
