Menstrual Health & Hygiene Awareness session & Napkins Distribution

• Debabrata Auro Foundation in collaboration with Police Mitra Sangh organized awareness sessions and sanitary napkins distribution at Diamond Nagar Slum area for 35 housewife women.
• Police Mitra Sangh and trainer Mr.Sushil Shishupal have conducted a session on nutrition health.
• Later we ended the session by speaking upon what is menstrual health and hygiene.
• We had done awareness on sanitary napkin uses and how to dispose of used napkins.

DAF NGO Menstrual Health & Hygiene Awareness Session & Napkins distributions

On the 12th of September 2023, Debabrata Auro Foundation (DAF) organized a Menstrual Health & Hygiene (MHH) Awareness Session and distributed sanitary napkins. The event aimed to educate 68 women and girls on menstrual health and hygiene.

Activities: 

• Understanding Menstruation: The session began by explaining what menstruation is and normalizing the conversation around it.
• Healthcare Tips: DAF NGO provided essential information on how to take care of one’s health during menstruation, emphasizing the importance of hygiene.
• Napkin Distribution: Sanitary napkins were distributed to ensure access to hygienic menstrual products.
• Myths and Facts: Common myths and misconceptions about menstruation were debunked, and accurate information was shared to dispel any misinformation.
• Proper Disposal: Proper disposal of used napkins was discussed to promote environmental responsibility.

Conclusion: The Menstrual Health & Hygiene Awareness Session organized by DAF NGO was successfully conducted, benefiting 68 women and girls. By addressing the stigma associated with menstruation and providing vital information, the event contributed to promoting better menstrual health practices within the community.

DAF NGO in association with TajSATS organized MHH Awareness & Napkins Distribution for 184 girls of DN Nagar MPS School-14/09/2023

On the 14th of September 2023, a significant Menstrual Health and hygiene (MHH) awareness event took place at DN Nagar, Mumbai Public School, in collaboration with TajSATS. The event aimed to educate and empower 184 girls students.

Activities:

• MHH Awareness: The event commenced with an informative session on menstrual health and hygiene. It aimed to break taboos, dispel myths, and promote open discussions about menstruation.
• Napkin Distribution: Essential sanitary napkins were distributed to ensure that girls have access to hygienic menstrual products.
• Snack boxes Distribution: Snack boxes were also distributed to girls by TajSATS.

Conclusion:

• The MHH Awareness & Napkins Distribution event was a resounding success, benefiting 184 girls. By providing essential knowledge and menstrual hygiene products, the event contributed to improving the overall well-being and confidence of these young girls.
