Intoxication Awareness Session & Stationery Distribution at Colaba Municipal School, July 10th, 2024
On July 10th, 2024, the Debabrata Auro Foundation (DAF) conducted an Intoxication Awareness Session and Stationery Distribution event at Colaba Municipal School, attended by 75 students. The session featured an informative presentation on the negative impacts of addiction on health, academics, and overall well-being. An interactive discussion followed, where students actively engaged in conversations about identifying the root causes of addiction, effective prevention strategies, and the importance of seeking help and available treatment options. To support their educational pursuits, stationery kits were distributed to all students, underscoring the value of education in shaping a better future. The session successfully educated students on the dangers of substance abuse, equipping them with the knowledge to make informed decisions and avoid potential pitfalls. The initiative empowered children to prioritise their education and make healthier lifestyle choices, fostering confidence in their ability to shape a successful and healthy life. It also reinforced a sense of community and responsibility among participants, encouraging them to contribute positively to society and support one another.
As a result, students gained a deeper understanding of addiction and its consequences, aiming to reduce the number of young individuals falling into substance abuse through early education and preventive measures. By distributing stationery kits, the project emphasised the importance of education and provided practical support to students, reinforcing its role in achieving personal and community-wide goals. The Intoxication Awareness Session and Stationery Distribution event at Colaba Municipal School exemplified our commitment to empowering children with essential knowledge and resources. By promoting education, health awareness, and community responsibility, we strive to enhance the well-being and future prospects of disadvantaged children.
