Fungal Infection Check-Up Camp & Free Medicines Distribution at Vile Parle Police Station  07/03/2024 

Introduction:

• The objective was to provide comprehensive screenings for fungal infections among police officers and personnel, along with distributing free medicines to those diagnosed with such infections.

Fungal Infection Check-Up Camp:

• Dedicated dermatologists from The Esthetic Clinics conducted screenings for fungal infections among police officers and personnel. 
• Beyond diagnosis, expert guidance on effective treatment methods and essential hygiene practices was provided to ensure holistic care of police officers. 

Free Medicines Distribution:

• After diagnosis, patients with fungal infections received free medicines and creams as per the doctor’s prescription. 
• Ensuring that patients received the prescribed course of medication was a priority to facilitate effective treatment and recovery. Additionally, guidance on proper medication usage was provided to maximise treatment efficacy.

Special Voucher Details for Police Officers:

• A special voucher worth 2000/- rupees consultation fee was provided to police officers, granting them access to free consultations at the Department of Dermatology and Plastic Surgery at The Esthetic Clinic. 
• Furthermore, officers received a 50% discount on a range of esthetic procedures, promoting overall well-being at The Esthetic Clinics. 

Impact:

• The project aimed to educate police officers about proper hygiene practices to prevent the spread of fungal infections. 
• It served as a token of appreciation and support for the dedicated service of the police force. 
• The initiative not only provided free screenings and medicines but also offered vouchers and discounts as a gesture of gratitude for their hard work and commitment.
• This collaborative effort between the DAF NGO and The Esthetic Clinics not only addressed the immediate health needs of the police force but also emphasised the importance of preventive healthcare and well-being.
