DAF NGO Self Defence Training Program at Prabhadevi School

  • The collaborative effort between DAF NGO, The Esthetic Clinics, and Leo Club of East Bombay successfully organized the Three Days Self-Defense Training Program at Prabhadevi Municipal School for 80 Students.
  • Sushil Shishupal is a highly respected Martial Artist and self-defense coach based in Mumbai. He was the trainer for this 3 days self-defense training program.
  • The First training session focused on teaching effective Defense Techniques to empower students with essential skills to protect themselves in potentially threatening situations. The second training session took place on the 21st of July and centered around Rescue Methods. Participants were educated on techniques to safely intervene in emergency situations and help others in distress. The session covered basic emergency response strategies, and how to act quickly and effectively during critical incidents. On 25th July, the final training session on Attack Mode was conducted. This session delved into understanding different types of attacks and how to respond assertively while defending oneself. Students were taught effective counter-attacks and evasion techniques. The training aimed to build students’ self-confidence and instill a sense of control over challenging situations.
  • After the three-day training session, we distributed participation certificates to 80 students to recognize their active involvement in the self-defense training program. The students displayed enthusiasm and dedication throughout the sessions, making the initiative impactful and empowering.
  • This program aimed to equip individuals with vital self-defense skills, promote personal safety, and foster a strong sense of community support in times of need.

Led Light Bulb & Educational Charts Distribution at Vanicha Pada- 13/08/2023

  • Debabrata Auro Foundation has organized educational sessions for Anganwadi children and donated educational charts, and also led bulbs to 20 needy village houses. and distributed biscuits to Anganwadi children.
  • The educational charts in the Anganwadi can enhance the learning environment for young children. Visual aids like charts can help in better understanding concepts, and improving literacy, numeracy, and cognitive skills.
  • Providing educational charts and Led lights with energy-efficient lighting demonstrates a commitment to community development. This can foster a sense of empowerment and cohesion among villagers.

Badminton Training Session at Akanksha Foundation School-2/09/2023

On the 2nd of September 2023, the DAF NGO, in collaboration with the NM College Rotaract Club, conducted a badminton training session at the Akanksha Foundation School. The event aimed to promote skills and sports development among students. The session, which took place from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., was attended by 35 enthusiastic students from the school. The training session began with a brief introduction to the sport of badminton. The participants were welcomed by the members of the NM College Rotaract Club, who shared their passion for the sport and the benefits of engaging in physical activities like badminton.

The session covered the following key aspects:

Basic Rules and Techniques: The students were introduced to the basic rules of badminton, including scoring, serving, and the dimensions of the court. They were also taught the fundamental techniques of holding the racket and footwork.

Practical Training: Following the theoretical introduction, the students were divided into smaller groups to practice what they had learned. They were given the opportunity to hit the shuttlecock and play short rallies under the guidance of experienced trainers.

Team Building: The event emphasized the importance of teamwork and cooperation. Students were encouraged to play doubles matches, which not only improved their badminton skills but also promoted sportsmanship and collaboration.

Physical Fitness: In addition to the technical aspects of badminton, the session stressed the importance of physical fitness. Warm-up exercises and stretching routines were incorporated to highlight the significance of staying physically active.

Impact and Feedback: The badminton training session received a positive response from both the students and the school staff. The participants displayed great enthusiasm and a keen interest in learning the sport. Many of them expressed a desire to continue practicing badminton, which aligns with the objective of promoting sports development. DAF NGO & TajSATS Toy Donation Drive-5/09/2023

Debabrata Auro Foundation (DAF) in collaboration with TajSATS organized a heartwarming Toy Donation Drive and Snacks Distribution event at the Vanicha Pada Tribal Village on the 5th of September 2023.

Warm Welcome: The event began with a warm welcome as DAF NGO presented handmade flower bouquets created by tribal children to greet TajSATS volunteers.

Green Gesture: village women handed basil leaf plants to the 10 TajSATS volunteers as a symbol of their commitment to nurturing and supporting the community.

Cultural Exchange: Some of the talented children sang poems and songs, providing a glimpse into their rich cultural heritage.

Interactive Sessions: TajSATS Volunteers engaged in interactions with the children, introducing themselves and imparting valuable lessons on sharing and caring through moral stories.

Educational Moments: TajSATS volunteers took the initiative to teach poems to the little ones, promoting both education and fun.

Teacher’s Day Celebration: The event also included a Teacher’s Day celebration, marked by cutting a cake with the Anganwadi teacher and the children.

Toy and Snacks Distribution: Following the interactive session, TajSATS volunteers distributed toys and snack boxes to 70 children in the village, bringing smiles and joy to their faces.

 

Impact: The Toy Donation Drive proved to be a heartwarming experience for both the givers and receivers. The event left an indelible mark on the children, brightening their lives with gifts and fostering a sense of shared happiness within the community. In the end, the beautiful smiles on the faces of the children served as a powerful reminder of the positive impact such initiatives can have on those in need.
