Child Abuse Awareness Session and Stationary Distribution at Shastri Nagar, Nariman Point Colony, July 5th, 2024

On July 5th, 2024, the Debabrata Auro Foundation (DAF) organized a Child Abuse Awareness Session and Stationary Distribution at the Shastri Nagar Nariman Point Colony. The event featured an interactive session addressing the prevalence and effects of child abuse, discussing reporting procedures, and available support resources for victims. It also included discussions on creating safe environments for children and a Q&A session to address queries and concerns regarding child protection. The initiative raised awareness about child abuse within the community, equipping children with knowledge and skills to protect themselves and others, and empowering individuals to take action against child abuse and promote child safety.

As a result, participants gained increased awareness and understanding of child abuse issues, enhanced their ability to recognize and respond to signs of abuse, and promoted child safety and well-being in the community. Additionally, stationery kits, including a pencil, scale, eraser, and sharpener, were distributed to 53 children present at the session. By conducting this Child Abuse Awareness session and distributing stationery kits, DAF has empowered slum children with the tools and knowledge they need to lead safer, more educated lives. This project aligns with our commitment to improving education and well-being in disadvantaged communities.
