Beach Clean-up Initiative by DAF and Project Mumbai at Dadar Beach
On 23rd August 2025, the Debabrata Mitalee Auro Foundation (DAF), in collaboration with Project Mumbai, organized a Beach Clean-up Initiative at Dadar Beach from 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM. The drive brought together volunteers and community members to address the growing concern of beach pollution and its adverse impact on marine ecosystems. Participants collectively cleaned approximately 500 meters of coastline, carefully collecting and segregating waste into categories such as plastic bags, bottles, and other debris. Alongside the clean-up, awareness campaigns were conducted to sensitize the public about the importance of sustainable waste management and responsible disposal practices.
The initiative had a visible impact, leaving Dadar Beach significantly cleaner while fostering a sense of shared responsibility among the participants and local residents. Beyond the immediate results, the event highlighted the power of community-driven action in addressing environmental challenges and inspired many to adopt eco-friendly practices in their daily lives. By combining hands-on clean-up efforts with educational outreach, the collaboration between DAF and Project Mumbai successfully reinforced the importance of sustainability and set a positive example for future conservation initiatives.
