Volunteers were warmly welcomed and briefed about the day’s activities and objectives.Safety was a priority throughout the drive. An icebreaking activity was conducted to foster a sense of community and underline the importance of keeping our beaches clean. Volunteers were provided with detailed guidelines for effective and safe beach cleaning, setting the stage for a productive effort. The clean-up process involved dividing volunteers into groups, each equipped with the necessary tools for trash collection. These groups, supervised by trained personnel, worked diligently to collect and segregate waste from the beach. Safety precautions were meticulously followed, particularly when handling various types of waste. The waste collected included plastics, wrappers, cans, glass bottles, and other debris.Garbage and recyclables were carefully sorted to facilitate proper disposal. Hazardous waste was identified, marked, and reported to ensure safe handling and appropriate disposal. Volunteers played a crucial role in distributing equipment and collecting trash, ensuring that every part of the beach was covered. This initiative not only helped in maintaining the cleanliness of Dadar Beach but also instilled a greater sense of environmental responsibility among volunteers. We are grateful to everyone who contributed and look forward to continuing our efforts towards a cleaner, healthier environment.
