AWARENESS SESSION ON MENSTRUAL HEALTH AND HYGIENE & FREE SANITARY NAPKINS DISTRIBUTION,18th APRIL 2023

“Society has placed a taboo surrounding periods and menstrual health as if we should be ashamed of this natural and miraculous process that ultimately kept the human species alive”.

Debabrata-Auro Foundation has organized an awareness session on Menstrual Health and Hygiene at (Akanksha Foundation) Abhyudaya Nagar Mumbai Public School.

In the awareness session, the trainer highlighted the importance of menstruation, the use of sanitary napkins, and how to dispose of used napkins.

In the awareness session, the trainer spoke about the false taboos which were formed and followed by the women and adolescent girls. Such as menstruation and the girl who menstruates is impure. After the Awareness session, DAF Foundation Distributed 80 Free Sanitary Napkins to the girls present in the awareness camp. I would like to thank the Social worker Mrs.Bhagyashree and the school principal Mrs.Fatima Sawant for trusting us and allowing us to conduct the awareness session in their school. Special thanks to our DAF Foundation founder Dr. Debraj Shome for sponsoring 80 sanitary Napkins and for his all support in making this awareness event successful.
