Beach Clean-up Initiative Report – 13th September 2025
On 13th September 2025, the Debabrata Mitalee Auro Foundation (DAF), in collaboration with Project Mumbai, successfully conducted a Beach Clean-up Initiative at Dadar Beach from 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM. The initiative saw enthusiastic participation from volunteers, community members, and team representatives, all united by a shared goal of addressing the critical issue of coastal pollution. The clean-up drive covered approximately 500 meters of shoreline, during which significant amounts of litter—primarily plastic waste—were collected and carefully segregated for proper disposal and recycling.
Beyond the physical clean-up, the initiative served as a platform to raise awareness about the broader environmental impacts of marine pollution. Interactive discussions and on-ground engagement focused on the importance of responsible waste disposal and the role individuals can play in preserving marine ecosystems. The event not only led to a cleaner Dadar Beach but also reinforced the message that sustainable, community-driven action is essential in creating long-term environmental impact. The success of this initiative stands as a testament to the power of collaboration and civic responsibility.
