Report on Fungal Infection Check-Up Camp for BMC Safai Karamchari

On 17th July 2025, the Debabrata Auro Foundation, in collaboration with The Esthetic Clinics, conducted a Fungal Infection Check-Up Camp at BMC Chowki, Bhoiwada, Parel, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM. The primary objective of the camp was to offer free dermatological screenings and consultations to BMC Safai Karamchari and other staff, who are at a higher risk of fungal infections due to occupational exposure. Qualified dermatologists carried out detailed skin examinations and provided individualized consultations, helping participants understand their condition and guiding them on appropriate treatment. Free prescribed medications were distributed to ensure immediate care and support for effective recovery.

Beyond treatment, the camp served as a valuable platform for awareness and education on fungal infections. Participants were informed about symptoms, causes, hygiene practices, and preventive measures to reduce the risk of future infections. This initiative played a vital role in bridging healthcare access for frontline sanitation workers and highlighted the importance of early detection and prevention.
