Beach Clean-up Initiative at Dadar Beach

On 22nd March 2025, the Debabrata Auro Foundation, in collaboration with Project Mumbai, successfully organized a Beach Clean-up Initiative at Dadar Beach near Kirti College. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from local volunteers who dedicated their efforts to restoring the cleanliness of the shoreline. Over the course of two and a half hours, the volunteers systematically removed litter and plastic waste from a 500-metre stretch of the beach. The collected waste was carefully segregated into categories such as plastic bags, bottles, and other debris, ensuring effective disposal and recycling. This initiative also served as an opportunity to educate the community about responsible waste management and its crucial role in preserving marine ecosystems.

The clean-up drive yielded a remarkable transformation of the beach, significantly reducing pollution and leaving behind a visibly cleaner coastline. More than just an act of environmental service, the initiative fostered a sense of collective responsibility towards sustainable living and environmental conservation. By mobilizing the community, the event highlighted the power of collaborative action in addressing pressing ecological challenges. The success of this initiative stands as a testament to the commitment of the Debabrata Auro Foundation and Project Mumbai towards fostering a greener future. This event serves as an inspiration for future endeavors, encouraging individuals and organizations to take proactive steps in safeguarding the environment.
