Sahyadri Vidyamandir Marks Centenary with Slum Community Fungal Infection Check-Up Camp, Bringing Vital Healthcare to Bhandup West

On 6th April 2025, Sahyadri Vidyamandir School in Bhandup West, Mumbai, in collaboration with Street Foundation, Debabrata Auro Foundation, The Esthetic Clinics, and Agilus Diagnostics, successfully organized a Mega Medical Camp to commemorate the school’s 100-year anniversary. Held at the Sahyadri Vidyamandir Sabhagruh, this impactful initiative catered to the healthcare needs of the slum community and school families, offering essential services such as skin and fungal infection check-ups, heart health assessments, and routine diagnostic screenings. Notable contributors included Dr. Prachi, who led the dermatological services, along with trained professionals from Agilus Diagnostics and the Street Foundation. The camp recorded an impressive turnout, benefiting approximately 300–400 individuals through a range of free services, including consultations, ECG tests, blood pressure checks, and distribution of antifungal medications.

The event was efficiently managed with designated stations, clear signage, and safety protocols, ensuring smooth operations and patient comfort. Publicity efforts through local media, posters, and digital outreach helped drive participation, while pre-registration initiatives minimized crowding. Beyond immediate medical support, the camp also focused on health education and preventive care awareness. By bringing together healthcare professionals, NGOs, and the local community, this medical camp not only honored Sahyadri Vidyamandir’s centenary milestone but also reinforced the importance of accessible, community-driven healthcare. The event stands as a testament to the power of collaborative efforts in addressing grassroots health challenges.
