Nutritional Health & Wellbeing Awareness Sessions for Children at Colaba Cuffe Parade

On July 28, 2024, the Nutritional Health and Wellbeing Awareness Sessions were successfully conducted at Colaba Cuffe Parade, targeting the significant health and nutrition challenges faced by children in the Adivasi village. Held from 11:30 am to 2:30 pm, these sessions were designed to provide essential education, raise awareness, and offer practical guidance aimed at improving the overall well-being of the children.The primary goal of the project was to empower both the children and their caregivers with the knowledge and skills necessary for better health and nutrition practices. During the sessions, participants were introduced to the importance of maintaining a balanced diet and learned about the essential nutrients required for growth and development. The benefits of a balanced diet were emphasised, highlighting its crucial role in supporting physical and cognitive growth.The sessions also focused on key hygiene practices, including the importance of handwashing, using clean water, and maintaining proper sanitation to prevent illnesses.

Educating the attendees on these practices was essential for disease prevention and promoting overall health.Additionally, the participants gained insights into recognizing symptoms of common illnesses and the importance of seeking timely medical attention.
