Nutritional Health and Care Session at MPS School, Colaba, July 23rd, 2024
On July 23rd, 2024, the Debabrata Auro Foundation (DAF) hosted a Nutritional Health and Care Session at MPS School in Colaba, targeting the health and nutritional challenges faced by the children. The session, attended by 60 students, aimed to provide comprehensive education on the critical role of nutrition in childhood development. It featured interactive activities that included detailed discussions on the importance of balanced diets, essential nutrients, and their sources. Practical guidance was provided on meal planning to help children understand and implement balanced nutrition in their daily lives.
As a practical demonstration, each student received a banana, highlighting the importance of incorporating nutritious foods into their diets and encouraging healthier snack options. The session significantly impacted the children by enhancing their knowledge of nutrition and promoting healthier lifestyle choices. Feedback from caregivers was positive, noting improvements in the children’s understanding of health and nutrition.
