Child Abuse Awareness Session and Stationery Distribution at Unit 13, Aarey Colony, July 20th, 2024.

On July 20th, 2024, the Debabrata Auro Foundation (DAF) conducted a Child Abuse Awareness Session at Unit 13, Aarey Colony, attended by 50 children. The session aimed to address the prevalence and effects of child abuse, discussing reporting procedures and available support resources for victims. It included interactive discussions on creating safe environments for children and a Q&A session to address queries and concerns regarding child protection. The session successfully raised awareness about child abuse, equipping children with knowledge and skills to protect themselves and others while empowering them to take action against abuse and promote child safety.

The event also distributed A4-sized notebooks to the participants, supporting their educational needs. The project increased understanding of child abuse issues, enhanced the ability to recognize and respond to signs of abuse, and promoted the safety and well-being of the community. By combining educational sessions with practical support through stationery distribution, the initiative aligned with DAF’s commitment to improving education and well-being in underprivileged communities.
