National deworming day activity
India has the highest incidence of soil transmitted helminths in the world with 241 million children at risk of parasitic worm infections. These can lead to anemia, malnourishment and impaired mental and physical development.
All it takes is about 30 rupees per child every 6 months. It’s less than 5 rupees per month per child. As India launches the National Deworming Program, we at Debabrata Auro Foundation gear up to help the kids of Oshiwara slum alongwith Sona Sarovar Trust.
